Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Lucille B. Arnaud, 82, who passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Lucille was a member of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed listening to her music, working in her garden, cooking for her family, playing Bourr, attending her weekly Mass and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Lucille was always ready to attend a family function and be the life of the party. She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Stelly and wife Bonnie of Arnaudville and Oliver Stelly, Jr. of Arnaudville; daughters, Connie Thomassee and husband Troy of Arnaudville, Bonnie Gunter and husband Bill of Dothan, AL, Cynthia Stelly of Arnaudville, Pamela Stelly and husband Robert of Henderson, and Samantha Hebert and husband Scotty of Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Stelly; brother, Roy Bergeron of Morgan City; sisters, Mergie Wilson of Metairie, Authrine Adams and husband Roger of Morgan City, Peggie Bess and husband Fernand of Patterson, and Brenda Bergeron of Morgan City; 30 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Larry Stelly, Sr. and Gary Stelly Sr.; daughters, Lucy Stelly and Debra Guidry; her husband, Oliver Stelly, Sr.; brothers, Gervis Bergeron, and Russell Bergeron; sister, Iris Stelly; grandson, Johnny Lee Aymond; great grandson, Trent Adam Stelly; mother, Mable Burtoneau Bergeron; and her father, Oralie Bergeron. Pallbearers will be Andrew Stelly, Oliver Stelly Jr., Troy Thomassee, Tracy Brown, Matt Thomassee Jr., Gary Stelly Jr., and Larry Stelly Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Garret Guidry.
