New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Lucille "Lou" Audibert, 80, who passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.
Born on February 28, 1929 in New Iberia, "Lou" worked for the Iberia Parish Clerk of Court Office for 37 years, and had a passion for helping everyone. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her nieces Dorothy Flory of Eunice, Barbara Beaver of Kinder; her extended family whom she loved dearly, Jane Kibodeaux and children, Colleen Moreaux, Lisa Duhon, and Danny Kibodeaux; Charlene Guillot and daughter April G. Byrom, Juanita, Ronnie and Mary Dartez, Gail and Bruce Freese, Bob and Millie David Dobbins, Juliette Leleux and Jenny Verret all of New Iberia; and numerous other friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Fernand and Olanda Etie Audibert; brothers, Robert Bertrand Audibert, William "Downey" Audibert, Wilson C. Audibert; godmother, Flo Fages Boutte; and Brudley Kibodeaux, II who she loved like a son.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Freese, George Reeves, Chard Dorcey, Ronnie Dartez, Harvey Werner, and Brandon Harlow.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, Dr. Luis Meza, Dr. J. Darvin Hales, and to Lou?s caregivers, Heather Moreaux Latiolais, Elizabeth "Appie" Bennett, Jerrie Jacobs, Cookie Willery, Pat Ford, and Janet David.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM
