St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Lucille M. Barras, 83, who passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until time of funeral service.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Lucille was born to the late Arthur and Estelle Dubois Menard. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lucille worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor for St. Martin Rehab and Nursing Center/Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home for 30 years. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and watching The Young and the Restless and game shows. Lucille loved her family and cherished family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert Barras and wife Alison; grandchildren, Annie Lynn and Mia Bonin; sister, Nola Menard and husband Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Estelle Dubois Menard; husband, Ames Joseph Barras; brothers, Paul, Frank, Arthur, Jr., Howard, and Kenneth Menard; and sisters, Florine Rockenbough, Agnes Foti, Eva Harrington, Hazel Menard, Azeline Willis, Aline Keller, Rida Hollier, Florence Landry, and Mabel Menard.
Pallbearers will be John Barras, Sam Foti, Hector Willis, Steven Menard, Lynn Laperouse, and Karl Menard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Neil Menard and Shane Menard.
