Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, February 22, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Lucille Landry Boudreaux, 89, who passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm on Sunday until 10:30 am on Monday, February 22, 2016.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday.
Reverend Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Lucille loved playing cards and going to the casino. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Her Christmas lunch for 60 years was what she loved the most, having all her family and friends enjoying her cabbage rolls. Lucille worked as a CNA for St. Martin Hospital, formerly Gary Memorial Hospital for 17 years. She proudly supported Heartstrings and Angelwings Organization.
She is survived by her sons, Calvin James Boudreaux and wife Peggy of Cecilia, LA, Lester Allen Boudreaux and wife Gail of Breaux Bridge, LA, Mertille "Joe" Joseph Boudreaux, Jr. of Breaux Bridge, LA, Michael "Mike" James Boudreaux and companion Sandra of Youngsville, LA; daughters, Linda Bourque and husband Kent of Breaux Bridge, LA, Judy Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge, LA, Rachel "Baba" Patin and husband Randy of Breaux Bridge, LA, Roxanne "Pookie" Schexnayder and husband Raphael "Ray" of Arnaudville, LA; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Landry of Beaumont, TX; sister, Rose Turner of Lafayette, LA; sisters-in-law, Alice Boudreaux Granger and Brenda Landry.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mertille Joseph Boudreaux; son, Lennis Boudreaux; daughter, Delores Boudreaux; grandchildren, Jeramie Paul Boudreaux and Wynter Marie Hebert; parents Allen and Louise Landry; brothers, John Landry and Dennis Landry; sister, Melba Castille; and sister-in-law, Frances Landry.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Joe, and Brandon Boudreaux, Kory Bourque, and Chad and Colt Patin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Schexnayder, Travis Boudreaux, Kevin Bourque, Mike and Myles Boudreaux, Therin LeBlanc, LJ and Hardy Boudreaux, Andrew and Keith Boudreaux.
