Lucille Babineaux Meche

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, in Arnaudville for Lucille Babineaux Meche, 97, who died on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery, in Arnaudville. Mrs. Meche was a lifelong resident of Arnaudville, where she was a homemaker, seamstress, and farmed with her husband. Survivors include one son, Joseph ""Harris"" Meche and his wife, Karen, of Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Birdie Courville, and her husband, Addie, of Baker, and Mrs. Connie Meche Booth and her husband, Bill, of Clarksville, TN; her daughter-in-law, Annie Meche, of Lafayette; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Leon ""Bull"" Meche; one daughter, Mrs. Julia Meche, of Arnaudville; two sons, L. J. Meche, of Arnaudville, and Dennis Meche, of Lafayette; her parents, Lucien and Olivia Taylor Babineaux; her sister, ?Ezelda B. Bernard; her brothers, Alexandre, Moise and Edwin Babineaux; and four grandchildren. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
