Lucy Guillot

Destrehan - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, for Lucy Aucoin Guillot, 87, who passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Jennings American Legion Hospital. Fr. Daniel Brouillette will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan. Lucy was kind-hearted woman who volunteered her time and talents for everything. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed spending time with her family. Above all else, Lucy loved God and her family - she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, John Michael (Kelly) Guillot of Orange, Texas, and Richard Paul (Selma) Guillot of Athens, Georgia; three daughters, Mary Margaret (Ronnie) Sonnier of Carencro, Susan Louise (Randall) Perrodin of Breaux Bridge, and Barbara Jean (Leroy) Abshire of Lafayette; one brother, Nathan (Mary) Aucoin of Houma; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Athanas and Zula Ardoin Aucoin; her husband, George Guillot; two daughters, Paula and Sandy Guillot; and her siblings, Dewey and Dorothy Aucoin.
