Lucy Savoy

St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Lucy Savoy, 85, who passed away on August 30, 2024.

A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM on Saturday.

Rev. Marvin Gyasie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Lucy was born on January 21, 1939, in St. Martinville. Lucy lived most of her life as a homemaker. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and family whom she always provided love and support for. She loved praying the Rosary daily, playing Pokeno, Bingo, and dancing at family gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Charlie (Rosaline) Savoy, Jr., David (Vanessa) Savoy, Christopher (Angela) Savoy, Dennis (Bridget) Savoy, Celeste (George) Ellis, Melissa (Chris) Hodge and Andrea Savoy; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Savoy, Sr.; and her parents, Jules and Amelia Breaux Etienne.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Savoy, Jr., David Savoy, Chris Savoy, Dennis Savoy, George Eillis and Willie Batiste.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Hodge, Nolan Mallory, Sr., Nolan Mallory, Jr., Clayton Ledet, Warren Etienne, Sr., Francis Etienne, Jr., Alvin Jones, Sr. and Jasper Savoy.
