Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Lucy Stelly Taylor, 91, who passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am on Friday and continue until 10:30 am on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Friday evening. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Dana Altamirano and Lorrie Forras. Gift Bearers will be Wilson Stelly, Rose Mary Douet and Ametille Miller. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Lucy was a lifelong parishioner of the St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Jessie B. Taylor and wife, Priscilla, of Lafayette, and Jeffery D. Taylor and friend, Karyn, of Arnaudville; her daughters, Deanna T. Menard and husband, Glenn, of Breaux Bridge, Margorie T. Miller and husband, Val, of Opelousas, and Delia T. Lagrange of Arnaudville; her brother, Wilson Stelly of Lafayette; her sisters, Rose Mary Douet and husband Stanley, of Cecilia, and Amitille Miller of Breaux Bridge; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and her loyal canine companion, Nellie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Moise Taylor; two sons, Minus J. Taylor and Jerry D. Taylor; her parents, Alexious and Azama Bergeron Stelly; and four brothers, Stanley Stelly, Walter Stelly, Nolvey Stelly, and Leonard Stelly. Pallbearers will be Val Miller, Jr., Jeffery Taylor, Shannon LaGrange, Lonnie Zerangue, Glenn Menard and C.J. Dekerlegand. Honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Zerangue.
