Lula Simoneaux Alexander

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 8, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Lula Alexander, 101, who died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in New Iberia. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Charles Langlois will conduct the services. A native of Kaplan, Mrs. Alexander was a longtime resident of Pollard Ave. Survivors include her sons, Herbert R. Alexander, Jr., and his wife, Debbie of Mandeville, LA and S. Jud Alexander and his wife, Margaret of Destin, FL; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Alexander; her grandsons, Michael and Steven Alexander; and six sisters. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service. The Alexander family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to Leatrice Landry and her family for the wonderful care that was given to their mother. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Lula's name to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
