Lula Mae Delahoussaye

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Lula Mae 'Loon' Huval Delahoussaye, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Iberia Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Rev. Keith Derouen will officiate at the service. Scriptutres will be read by Aimye Dugas and Monica Delahoussaye. Gift Bearers will be Jamie Montet, Lacey Theriot, Jade Borel and Madison Delahoussaye. Mrs. Delahoussaye loved to clean house, cook, babysitting and French music. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dutel Delahoussaye of St.Martinville; her sons, Danny Delahoussaye (Deanna) of St. Martinville, Gerald 'T-Goo' Delahoussaye (Monica) of Loreauville and Craig Delahoussaye (Sheri) of Parks; her daughters, Linda Montet (Wayne) of Parks and Diana LeBlanc of St. Martinville; her brothers, Paul Huval (Theresa) of Duson and Steve Huval (Alta) of Arnaudville; her sisters Georgia H. Delahoussaye, Lois Blanchard (Shirby) and Velma Poirier all of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Chris Montet, Shane LeBlanc, Kasci Cormier, Jamie Montet, Lacey Theriot, Jade Borel, Derek LeBlanc, Madison Delahoussaye and Chloe Delahoussaye and her great grandchildren, Alyssa Casey, Brielle Casey, Ava Theriot, Austen Montet, Sydney LeBlanc and Briggs Theriot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clodis and Anita Guidry Huval; her brothers, Roland and Ernest Huval; and her sister, Mable 'Meb' Boyer. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. Wednesday until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be her sons, Danny, T-Goo, and Craig Delahoussaye, Chris Montet, Shane LeBlanc and Derek LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Jarred Cormier, Jake Theriot and Blaine Borel. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
