Lydia Dupuis Guidry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Lydia Dupuis Guidry, 87, who passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Camelot of Broussard. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Rev. Fr. Chanh Nguyen will conduct the services. Mrs. Guidry was a homemaker, seamstress and gardener extraordinaire. Survivors include her sons, Kirk Guidry, Danny Guidry and his wife, Pam, and Perry Guidry and his wife, Ellen, all of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Lois Hebert and her husband, Eugene, of Breaux Bridge, and Vicky Hebert and her husband, Kennon, of St. Martinville; her brothers, Adley Dupuis and James Dupuis, both of Breaux Bridge, and John Dupuis, of Baton Rouge; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. Guidry; her parents, Herbert and Ada Mason Dupuis; her brothers, Steven, Eno, and Frank Dupuis; her sisters, Rena Morrow and Pauline Dupuis; her grandsons, Jerod Angelle and Jean Pierre Guidry, infant; and her step granddaughter, Shannon Hebert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:30 p.m. until time 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 6:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Brook Hebert, Jean Guidry, Scotty Hebert, Jarrod Hebert, J. D. Guidry, and Israel Guidry. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
