Lynn James Blanchard

Breaux Bridge - Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Lynn James Blanchard, 59, who passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Deacon Butch Hebert, will conduct the services. Connie Dumatrait will serve as reader for the services. Lynn was an avid reader. He was a member of AA and a true friend to many other members. Having helped others through their difficult times, he will be remembered as one with a great deal of courage and strength. He adored his granddaughter and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Survivors include his mother, May Blanchard; his daughters, Summer Champagne and her husband, Chris, and Lacey Blanchard; his brother, George Blanchard and his wife, Kathy; his granddaughter, Ava Champagne; and his nieces, Connie Dumatrait and Pam Olivier, all of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Joseph Blanchard. Family request donations be made to the Miles Perret Cancer Services, 2130 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70508.
