Lynward 'Lynn' Ransonet

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Lynward "Lynn" Ransonet, 82, who passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 9:15 am. A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Ransonet was born on January 16, 1936 in Loreauville to the late Stanley and Mae Granger Ransonet, and was a co-owner of Regional Fabricators until his retirement in 2008. He was an avid golfer and was a very generous person who helped others without wanting any recognition. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Louella Dressel Ransonet of New Iberia; daughters, Rachel Romero and husband Luis of Coteau, Annie Murray and husband Chad of Houston; sons, Randy Ransonet and wife Jennifer of Youngsville, Tommy Ransonet of Sulphur, Jon Ransonet and wife Joan of Lafayette, Lynn J. Ransonet of Houston; grandchildren, Stevi, Chloe, Ian, Seth, Mary Claire, Evan, Jacob, Aidan, and Adam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Guy Ransonet and Darryl Ransonet. Pallbearers will be Randy Ransonet, Tommy Ransonet, Jon Ransonet, Lynn James Ransonet, Luis Romero, and Chad Murray. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers Ron, Jackie, Cathy, Melissa, Anira, and Sylvia.
