A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday.
Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant.
Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia.
A native of Breaux Bridge and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mabel Benton Rouly was born on December 31, 1928 to the late William Benton and Constance Huval Benton. She and her husband, Earl owned and operated Rouly's Superette for over 30 years. Mabel enjoyed making cakes, gardening, and going to the casino. She was a member of Sweet Friends of the Teche, Charlotte Club, and Women of Woodcraft (Woodmen of the World). A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Mabel will be deeply missed.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Rouly and wife Brenda, and Kern C. Rouly and wife Corleen; two daughters, Mary Katherine "Kathy" Simon and husband Harry, and Karen A. Rouly, all of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Karl Rouly and wife Ellie, Michelle Rouly and partner Jerod Thibodeaux, Kyle Rouly, Dwayne Dugas and wife Lindsey, Stephen Dugas and wife Heather, Lauren R. White and husband Langston, and Eric Simon and wife Mindy; and 15 great-grandchildren, Karrigan, Kaleb, Kaitlin, Kyle Jr., Kameron, Caden, Kellie, Riley, Gavin, Makenna, Cassidy, Braden, Nathan, Gabe, and Ford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Rouly; a son, Karl Rouly, a brother, Clifford Benton, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Enola and Allen Latiolais, and Thelma and Rivers "Tony" Romero; and a grandchild, Kelly R. Rouly.
