Our beloved Maddex "Maddie Pie" William Bienvenu, born in Lafayette on April 10, 2007, was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He was an honor student at Breaux Bridge High School and a proud member of the BETA Club and the baseball team. Maddex loved hunting and fishing with his daddy Joe, bubba Mason, and family. He also shared a special bond with his cousin, Gannon, and their prized donkey Chapstick. When not on the field, outdoors, or tending to Chapstick, he enjoyed helping his mom in the kitchen and bringing samples to his grandparents. Although he loved creating memories with friends, he treasured moments with family, especially the annual vacations. He was a young man with an old soul, knowing by far that family was and always will be the most important thing. Above all things, Maddex took on a role all on his own of being his mother's best friend, biggest supporter, and selfless care giver.
Our fun-loving, kind-hearted, blue-eyed gentle giant has definitely left a lasting mark on this world forever.
He is survived by parents, William Bienvenu, Jr. and Rustina C. Bienvenu; brother, Mason Tyler Bienvenu; maternal grandparents, Russell and Rosie Courville; and paternal grandparents, William Bienvenu, Sr., Angela Fabacher, and Ricky and Gay Short.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, William Theriot, Sr., Edith B. Theriot, Alpha Courville, Sr., and Leona Courville; and paternal great-grandparents, Lloyd Bienvenu, Jr., Shirley Arnaud, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fabacher.
Pallbearers will be Mason Bienvenu, Karson Bienvenu, Luke Bienvenu, Gannon Courville, Jeremy Allemand, Gavan Courville, and Hayden Serrette.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Breaux Bridge High Baseball Team and his coaches, William Bienvenu, Jr., William Bienvenu, Sr., Russell Courville, Jack Dale Courville, Wendell Bienvenu, Wade Bienvenu, Codey Angelle, Patrick Thibodeaux, Tommy Verrett, Todd Theriot, Bryce Vicknair, Brasen Champagne, and Christy Wyble.
The family wishes to express their extreme special thanks to all family, friends, BBHS Baseball family, and our amazing community for their overwhelming love, support, and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests prayers or monetary donations.
