Madeline B. LaPorte

St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Madeline B. LaPorte, 88, who passed away February 24, 2023, at St. Joseph Hospice-Carpenter House.

 A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Monday from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

A rosary will be prayed by her sister, Clemence “Jeanie” Bienvenu at 7:00 PM on Monday.

Rev. Blake Dubroc will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Jenna LaPorte Wilson and Clemence “Jeanie” Beinvenu.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.

Madeline was born March 29, 1934, in St. Martinville. She enjoyed doing puzzles and cross-stitching. Madeline was an amazing and loving wife and mother to her three children and adored spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Terry LaPorte (Joellyn), Dale LaPorte (Dottie) and daughter, Donna LaPorte Roberts; grandchildren, Natalie LaPorte Oubre (Barrett), Jenna LaPorte Wilson (Brodie) and Meagan Roberts Thibodeaux (Seth); great-grandchildren, Cadence Roberts, Aiden Roberts, Aubrey Oubre, Camille Oubre, Adea Thibodeaux and Koa Thibodeaux; brother, Ira Bourque; sister, Clemence “Jeanie” Bienvenu (Andy); granddaughter-in-law, Robin Roberts; and her son-in-law, Chris Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank LaPorte; parents, Elton and Pauline Dore’ Bourque; brothers, Ivan Bourque and Joseph Bourque; sister, Mildred Cormier; and grandchild, Trent Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Barrett Oubre, Brodie Wilson, Seth Thibodeaux, Malcolm Bourque, Andy Bienvenu and Chris Roberts.
