Madeline Hypolite

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Madeline Hypolite, 75, who passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at New Iberia Manor North. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Madeline enjoyed going to the casino and caring for her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness and that beautiful smile she gave everyone. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the oncology staff of Dr. Brierres office, the staffs of Bridgeway Hospice and Iberia Manor North, and to the family and friends for the care that was provided to Madeline during her illness. She is survived by her of brothers, Ronald Hypolite of New Iberia, and Joseph Hypolite and wife Antonette of Galveston, TX; sister, Mildred Hypolite of St. Martinville; sister-in-law, Lilly Hypolite of LaMarque Tx; a very special niece, Valencia Hypolite of St. Martinville; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Albertine Narcisse Hypolite; her brothers, Lincoln Hypolite, Patrick Hypolite, and Carlin Hypolite; her sisters, Agnes Mitchell, Felicia Savoy, Maybell Valsin, and Virgina Gibbs. Pallbearers will be Donald Gibbs, Timmy Mitchell Sr., Gregory Hypolite, Grady Hypolite, Eugene Valsin, III, and Stanley Valsin. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Hypolite Sr., Joseph Hypolite, Ronald Hypolite Sr., Ronald Hypolite, Jr., Stenson Hypolite, Steve Hypolite, Vincent Hypolite, and Treyvon Lazzare.
