A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Madison was born on September 21, 2004, and was a 2022 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She worked at AMC Property Management, where she was recently promoted to Assistant Manager.
Madison enjoyed celebrating Mardi Gras, embracing the festivities and the excitement. Her love for this tradition reflected her lively personality and vibrant spirit. She had a beautiful smile that would always light up the room.
There was a unique and close bond, a father/daughter relationship, that Madison shared with her dad, Nick. She would drive him crazy, but they never went a day without each other. Nothing or no one came between them. Madison was her daddy’s number 1 “Mo”.
Madison cherished spending time with her family, but especially with her sisters, Taylor and Sierra, her aunt Sandy, and her precious cousin, Sebastian.
Those left to mourn and remember Madison, include her father, Nicholas Olivier (Airon Allain Berry); mother, Michelle Bourque Gatewood (Robert Gatewood, Jr.); her beloved dog, “Aries”; sisters, Taylor Boyance and Sierra Olivier (Daelin LaCoste); grandparents; Magdalene P. Olivier, and Johnny B. and Connie V. Bourque; great grandmother, Dolores Olivier; step brother, Hayden Gatewood; step sister, Hailey Gatewood; special aunt, Sandy Olivier; precious cousin, Sebastian Olivier; uncle, Brandon J. Bourque; and godparents, Jonathan Olivier and Casey Thompson; and a host of many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony Leonard Olivier.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Bourque, Brandon Bourque, Kermit Frilot, Jay Sigue, Jonathan Olivier, and Jeffery Boutte.
Honorary Pallbearers include Sebastian Olivier, Brian Olivier, Brandon Benjamin, Elijah Cook, Daelin LaCoste, Hayden Dartez, Telbia "TJ" Coughlin, Brad Birotte, Jr., NISH Band, and the NISH Class of 2022.
Madison will always be remembered for her love and beautiful smile. Her spirit will live forever in our hearts and in our memories.
