Madria "Mildred" Gradney Addie

Coteau - Private services will be held for the immediate family of Madria "Mildred" Gradney Addie, 72, who passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, in Lafayette. Madria was born in Basile, Louisiana on February 4, 1948. She loved traveling, going to the casinos, making homemade pralines, and spending time with family and friends. Madria, better known to many as "Mildred," had a strong Catholic faith in the Lord. She loved making people laugh. If anyone ever asked about Aunt Mildred, your answer would be, "She was one hot mess!" Mildred is survived by sisters, Alice Blaze and Mable Abatte, both of Coteau; brother, Audley Gradney of Houston; niece and caregiver, Angelina; son, Ricky St. Julien; daughter, Madria; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avie and Alice Gradney. Her niece would like to thank everyone at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice for their tremendous care and support. Special thanks to Dr. Cormier, Dr. Ardoin, and the team of nurses at OLOL ICU for their extraordinary care.
