Mae Kern Nargassans

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mae Kern Nargassans, 93, who died Monday, July 23, 2007 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Mrs. Mae was a pre-school teacher. ?She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, VFW Auxiliary, Home Demonstration of St. Martin Parish, Pink Ladies at Gary Memorial, and the Ladies Rosary Group. ?She worked alongside her husband, Mac, at Pellerin Funeral Home for many years. Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Nargassans and his wife, Carol of Benton and Kern Nargassans of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Maxine Fleming and her husband, Tom, of Lafayette; her sister, Mary Vivian Stone of Lake Jackson, TX; her half-sister, Pauline Romero of Angleton, TX; her grandchildren, Lisa Lee, Kenny Nargassans, Jamie Nargassans, Scott Fleming, Matt Fleming and Mark Fleming; and her great-grandchildren, Conner Lee, Hayden Lee, Kaitlin Lee, Sable Lee, Alex Nargassans, and Kayhla Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxime ""Mac"" Nargassans; her parents, Paul and Euranie Hebert Kern; her brothers, Clay Kern and Louis M. ""Frere"" Kern; and her step-mother, Milliane L. Kern. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:30 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2007 and continue at 7:00 a.m., on Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Scott Fleming, Matt Fleming, Mark Fleming, Jake Kern, Arthur Kern and James Kern. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
