Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Teche Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Ma'Kayla Marie Landry, 26, who passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Teche Baptist Church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Tom Hamilton, Jr. will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Ma'Kayla graduated with honors from Breaux Bridge High School in 2012. She attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette for two years, studying Nursing and then General Studies. Ma'Kayla loved cooking, baking, and cleaning. She was known for keeping a spotless house. Ma'Kayla was a very loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Keith Anthony Joseph, III; parents, Rayline Landry-Harper and Von Harper, Sr.; sister, Raven Landry and fiancé Daniel Diaz; brothers, Von Harper, Jr. and wife, Morgan, and Dimetré Harper; maternal grandmother, Marsha Landry; paternal grandmother, Betty Granger; niece, Marie'Belle Diaz; nephew, Malak Diaz; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gerald Landry, Sr.; and great-grandparents, Marshall and Livee Broussard, Wallace and Marie Landry, and Earline and Alonzo Pickens. Pallbearers will be Von Harper, Jr., Dimetré Harper, Daniel Diaz, Keith Anthony Joseph, Jr., Edward LeBlanc, III and Aaron Bodin. Honorary pallbearer will be Keith Anthony Joseph, III. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
