St. Martinville A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Margaret L. Bonin, 82, who passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Thursday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Memorial Service. Mrs. Bonin was the owner and operator of Acadian Flower Shop in St. Martinville for many years. She enjoyed going dancing, sewing and crocheting during her free time. She cherished moments spent with family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Roxanna Trimble and husband Barry of Overton, TX, and Alica Gibson and husband Marty of St. Martinville; sons, Ames "Pete" Dupuis, Jr. and wife Gina of Loreauville and Vernon J. Dupuis and wife Missy of Broussard; sister, Adelia Hulin and husband Galton of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Kiley Dupuis of St. Martinville, Shauntelle Horton and spouse Daniel of Loreauville, Ames "Trey" Dupuis, III of Loreauville, Brittany Marks and spouse Kip of Opelousas, Brock Cormier of Lafayette, Dylan Dupuis of Lafayette, and Caleb Dupuis of Broussard; and great grandchildren, Aaliyah Rai Dupuis, Kaylee Marks, Kyrsten Marks, Gabriel Horton, Samantha Horton, and Kohen Marks. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ames Dupuis, Sr.; her 2nd husband, Solanie Bonin; parents, Selivan and Alicia Blanchard Laviolette; brothers, Joseph Laviolette and Willie Laviolette; and sisters, Eastlynne Duplantis and Manilla LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Ames "Pete" Dupuis Jr., Vernon J. Dupuis, Ames "Trey" Dupuis III, Brock Cormier, Dylan Dupuis, and Caleb Dupuis.
