Cecilia - A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Margaret Madge H. Champagne, 74, who passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Serving as readers are Kayla Guidry and June Broussard. Gift bearers are Jenny Champagne and Kristen Champagne. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Madge enjoyed watching sporting events, such as football and baseball. She loved cooking and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Autry Champagne of Cecilia; her son, Danny "Champ" Champagne of Cecilia; her daughter, Mary Margaret Champagne of Cecilia; her four brothers, Harry (Bea) Hebert, Larry (Betty) Hebert, Allen Hebert and Gerald (Jan) Hebert, all of Cecilia; her sister, Mary (Ray) Angelle of Lafayette; her three grandchildren, Cody (Jenny) Champagne, Beau Champagne, and Brandon (Kristen) Champagne all of Cecilia; and her three great grandchildren, Sage Champagne, Kaden Champagne and Layne Champagne. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Hebert, her mother, Alta Bergeron Hebert; her father and mother in law, Samuel and Enola Champagne; and her granddaughter, Mia Champagne. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2012 and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Pallbearers will be Danny "Champ" Champagne, Cody Champagne, Beau Champagne, Brandon Champagne, Brian Champagne and Larry Hebert Jr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
