Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon , on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 , at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Margaret Savoie Green, 71, who peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 . Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Born in Bellvue , LA , in St. Landry Parish, from the union of Clarence and Eula Savoie, Margaret resided in New Orleans for over 50 years, where she was a retired supply technician at Charity Hospital with over 30 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, entertaining, and going on casino bus rides. Margaret was a faithful parishioner of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church for many years. She was the beloved wife of the late George Arthur Green for 50 memorable years. From this union came Denard Green (Linda) of Church Point, Mark Green (Yvonne), Barry Green (Tina), and Catina Green Peoples (William), all of New Orleans . Grandmother of Christopher Green, Tanesha Mark Stephens, Denise Sylvester, and John Para , Jade Ivear and William Eugene Peoples, II. She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Francis (Theresa) Savoie and Clarence Savoie, Jr., of Houston , TX ; two sisters, Bernice Ned of Lake Charles , and Geraldine (Frank) Dennison, of New Orleans ; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, family, and loyalist list of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Green, an infant daughter, Denise Green; grandson, Donovan Green; 3 brothers, Ashton, Clifford, and Walter Savoie; and one sister, Lou Bertha Richard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home in Cecilia. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
