Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Margaret Marie Melancon Henry, 89, who passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 1:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Father Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures will be Pat Burleigh. Serving as gift bearers will be Mitchell Guidry and Preston LeBlanc. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Henry loved cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and working in her yard. She is survived by her step sons, John (Joy) Henry and Charles "Chuck" (Mamie) Henry all of Longview, TX; several grandchildren; her sister, Lorraine Serrette; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Henry, her parents, Doyle and Solange LeBlanc Melancon, her sister, Norma Melancon, her brothers, Leroy and Leonard Melancon. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Guidry, Cory Guidry, Preston LeBlanc, Michael Serrette, Duane Menard and Merrel Burleigh. Honorary pallbearers will be John Henry, Charles "Chuck" Henry, Wilson Guidry and Johnny Melancon.
