Margaret Ann Jones

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Margaret Ann Jones, 73, who passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm on Friday. A rosary will be prayed by Virgie Mayfield at 12:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scriptures will be read by Gayle Brown, and Sybil Papillion. The gift bearers will be her daughters, Anastasia and Anastine. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Margaret enjoyed working in her yard and was meticulous about it always looking well groomed. She was at the Chapel of Adoration every Wednesday, praying for her family and those in need. Margaret loved her family and will be missed by everyone she ever met in her life. She is survived by her daughters, Anastasia Jones of Carencro, and Anastine Mayon and husband Joseph Carlton of Leonville; son, Joseph Quinn Jones of Arnaudville; grandchildren, Jordan Gradnigo, Bryant Gradnigo, Armond Jones, Destiny Jones, Thorian Jones, Joseph C. Mayon, Kendrick L. Mayon and Devon C Mayon; great grandchildren, Kourtlynn Mayon, Chase Mayon, Carlon Mayon, Carley Mayon, Kade Mayon, Ava Mayon, Devyn Mayon and Ahna J. Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ephrem Jones; parents, Cornelius and Josephine Hokins Gabriel; and her daughter, Chantel Jones. Pallbearers will be Armond Jones, Thorian Jones, Joseph C. Mayon, Jr., Devon C Mayon, Dylan Journet, and Jackie Sam. Honorary pallbearers will be Kendrick L. Mayon, Joseph M Butler, Ulton Mayon Sr., Phillip Stein, Jordan Gradnigo, Bryant Gradnigo, Joseph Carlton Mayon, Sr., and Ronald Journet.
