Margaret Patin

Breaux Bridge- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Margaret Helen Patin, 87, who passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Sunday.

Fr. Nicholas Dupre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. 

Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Margaret was born on November 1, 1935, in Arnaudville.  Throughout her life, Margaret took great pride in her baking skills.  She first began her journey as a business owner when she established the Red Barn Bakery.  After running her successful bakery for many years, Margaret decided to join the bakery team at Hebert's, where she worked until her retirement.  Margaret was also a talented seamstress, an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, David (Deborah) Patin, Kenny (Shirley) Patin, Peggy (Todd) Guidry, Craig Patin, and Kelly (Nicole) Patin; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and her sister, Seola Pitre.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Patin; daughters, Joann P. Fuselier, Barbara P. Boudreaux, and Judy A. Patin; parents, Pierre and Anaise Schexnyder Hebert; and her siblings, Clarence Hebert, Felix Hebert, Mary Jane Landry, Easton Hebert, and Floyd Hebert.
