Margaret Mary Touchet

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Margaret Maggie Touchet, 74, who passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Rev. Michael L. Delcambre will conduct the services. Margaret was a secretary at Cecilia High School for over 21 years. She was a devout Catholic who loved her Church and prayer time. She enjoyed playing Pokeno, holding yard sales and working in her yard. Survivors include her son, Paul Touchet (Jane) of Woodbridge, Virginia; her daughter, Paulette Johnson and her companion, Russell Daigle of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Brandy Dupuis, Lawrence Johnson, Jennifer Garner, Laura Frere and Robin Touchet; her great grandchildren, Cameron Broussard, Ella Broussard, Madeline Touchet, Andrew Frere, Erin Margaret Frere and Joshua Frere and her half brother, Jerry Guidry of Breaux Bridge. The member of a close-knit family, Margaret is also survived by her only remaining aunt, Stella Broussard and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldus and Mozella Hebert Latiolais; her husband Gilbert Touchet and her brother, David Latiolais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
