Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Margie Rivers Degeyter, 63, who died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Degeyter, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Robert Rivers and his wife, Jessica of Scott, Lloyd Degeyter, Jr. and his wife, Candice, and Sandy P. Degeyter and his wife, Naomie, all of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Sara Boyer and her husband, Billy, Sharon Poirier and her husband, Terry, Sally Champagne and her husband, Garland, Stacy Westbrook and her husband, Stephen, and Sandra Michot and her husband, Chris, all of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Wayne Rivers of Delcambre and Donald Rivers, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Glenda Champagne of Breaux Bridge and Elaine Duplechin of Church Point; twenty-seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Rivers; and her sister, Sara Jane Rivers. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Casey Champagne, Jacob Champagne, Sandy Degeyter, Lloyd Jay Degeyter, Jr., Billy Boyer and Terry Poirier. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald and Wayne Rivers. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
