Margie Latiolais

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at St. Rita Catholic Church, in Catahoula for Margie C. ""Toot"" Latiolais, 82, who died on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Fr. Donald Pelous, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church, and Fr. Chang, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Mrs. Latiolais was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Rita Catholic Church. ?Her pasttimes were casino gambling and talking on the phone. ?She was employed at Catahoula Elementery as a cafateria worker for 13 years. ?She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Johnell Latiolais and his wife, Jeanette of Henderson; her daughter, Debbie L. Savoy and her husband, Darrel of Cade; her grandchildren, Randy Latiolais, Kelly Latiolais, and David Savoy and her great-grandchildren, Lexi and Lani Latiolais and Jake and Hazie Latiolais. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. ""Nick"" Latiolais; her parents, Abel and Ament Latiolais Comb; and her sisters, Gertie Delahoussaye and Gertrude Melancon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 11:00 am Monday, July 23, 2007 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Randy Latiolais, Kelly Latiolais, David Savoy, Douglas Melancon, Larry Delahoussaye and Michael Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Latiolais, Carrol Blanchard, Marcel Delahoussaye and Jude Johnson. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
