Lydia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, for Marguerite Lasseigne Hebert , 89, who passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.
Rev. Buddy Breaux will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM
Mrs. Hebert was born on January 10, 1926 at Weeks Island to Louis and Ora Boudreaux Lasseigne, and had worked at Robin Motors in Jeanerette for 28 years. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her grandchildren, playing PoKeno, working in her yard, watching LSU Football, the New Orleans Saints, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Mrs. Hebert was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, and the Come Lord Jesus Group.
Survivors include her children, Susan Broussard and husband Edward of Baton Rouge, and Gene Hebert and wife Denise of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Palmer of Lydia; and her caregiver, Bernice Lively.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Richard "Dickie" Hebert, and 7 siblings.
Pallbearers will be Kent Broussard, Michael Robin, Jonathan Broussard, Mike Segura, Jacob Reed, and Dominic Broussard.
Honorary pallbearers include Dustin Broussard, Drake Broussard, Fred Laviolette, Mark Broussard, Casey Munnerlyn, Alex Wazenkewitz, Ryan Alvarez, Frankie Kleinpeter, Gary Palmer, and David Ricner.
