Marguerite Comeaux Lewis

Mire - Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Mire, for Marguerite Comeaux Lewis, 78, who passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, in Lafayette. A native of New Iberia, Mrs. Lewis was born on September 5, 1938 to the late Ovey and Manila Lancon Comeaux. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, baking, dancing, and her quiet time sitting outside. Mrs. Lewis loved the holidays, and cherished spending time her family and friends, especially with her beloved yorkie, "Molly B". Survivors include her daughters, Janet Lewis of Church Point, Juanita Boudreaux and husband Johnny of Church Point, Jacqueline Duhon of Church Point, Carol Lewis of San Marcos, TX; sons, James Pichoff of Lafayette, Jeston Pichoff and wife Vicki of Lydia; sisters, Elaine Guidry and husband Wayne of Youngsville, Jenny Jolet and husband Tim of New Iberia, Elizabeth Stutes and husband Charles of Lydia; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Charles Lewis; sisters, Linda Semar, and Nancy Hickson; and her companion, Leonard LeBlanc.
