Marie Geraldine "Chick" Allemond

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Marie Geraldine "Chick" Allemond, 77, who passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Chick loved to read, travel, go on missionary trips, and spend time with family and friends. Her love for music was an important instrument in keeping her family together. Chick loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and was excited about the three additional great-grandchildren on the way. She is survived by her loving spouse of 62 years, Curtis Joseph Allemond; sons, David Allemond and wife Peggy, Phillip Allemond, Mark Allemond and wife Peggy Devall; daughters, Rachel Calais and husband Keith, Vonda Hayes and husband Todd; brothers, Raymond Robin, Jr. and wife Gina, Clint Robin and wife Joan; sisters, Suzanne Pourciaux and husband, Andrus, Linda Brasseaux, Druscilla Robin, and Barbara Noel and husband Leroy; grandchildren, Layla Mouton and spouse Rusty, Katie Allemond, Henri Allemond, Jayna Arnaud and spouse Billy, Traye Allemond, Madeline Allemond, Cort Calais, Ariel Calais, Amber Calais, Cameron Calais, Ashley Steele and spouse Trey, Thad Hayes and spouse Paige, Aaron Hayes, and Jean-Phillipe Allemond; great-grandchildren, Carley, Mya, and Jack Mouton, Mason and Ella Arnaud, Bayli and Baylon Allemond, Carson Calais, and Jaxon Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bernice Dugas Robin; brothers, Wiley Robin, Sr., and Curley Robin; grandson, Christopher Calais; mother-in-law, Lorenza Allemond, father-in-law; Pierre J. Allemond; and brother-in-law, Gary Brasseaux. Pallbearers will be David Allemond, Phillip Allemond, Mark Allemond, Traye Allemond, Cort Calais, and Aaron Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Thad Hayes, Cameron Calais, Henri Allemond, and Jean Phillipe Allemond.
