Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marie T. Angelle, 96, who died on Monday, July 30, 2007, at her residence.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2, in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Angelle loved cooking. She was a wonderful caregiver and enjoyed working on the farm. She was an avid bingo player and liked going on family vacations with her children.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas Angelle and his wife, Juanita, of Breaux Bridge and Clifford Angelle and his wife, Jeanette "Jet", of Lafayette, her sister, Pauline Thibodeaux, of Parks, six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Angelle; her parents, Adrien and Aurelia Cormier Thibodeaux; her brothers, Homer "Robe" Thibodeaux, Alexis Thibodeaux and Arista Thibodeaux; and her sisters, Mrs. Jacque (Arthemise) LeBlanc, Alice LeBlanc and Cecile Landry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 8 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Angelle, Clifford Angelle, Cruz Angelle, Canaan Frederick, Jude Frederick, and Harold Fisette.
Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel "Blanc" Angelle, Jr.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Debra Durham and her nurse assistant, Mrs. Linda, and to AAA Hospice for the wonderful care they provided her.
