Cecilia - - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Marie Hilda Berard , 95, who passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Monday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures will be Victoria Bordelon and Chantel LeBlanc. Gift bearers will be Holly Breaux, Brittany Pousson and Tessa Stelly. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mrs. Berard loved to cook for her family. She was a caretaker of many children in her life and always found pleasure in doing for others. She is survived by her sons, Edward (Odile) Stelly and Adolph "Cobb" John Stelly, daughter, Mary Grace (Donna D.) Guidry of Cecilia, grandchildren, Gregory Stelly, Perry Glenn Stelly, Todd Edward Stelly, Tessa Ann Stelly, Donald James Guidry, Christopher Guidry, Bradford Guidry, Victoria G. Bordelon, Timothy Jude Pousson and Brittany Pousson, 26 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Adolph John Miller, mother, Neoda Guidry Miller, 1st husband, Joseph Cleveland Stelly, 2nd husband, Valerie Berard and a son, Lawrence Stelly. Pallbearers will be Donald Guidry, Christopher Guidry, Bradford Guidry, Gregory Stelly, Perry Glenn Stelly, Todd Edward Stelly, Timothy Jude Pousson and Gary Bordelon. Honorary pallbearers will be Cy Guidry, Sage Guidry, Cody Guidry, Craig Stelly, Hayden Stelly, Kyle Stelly and Dillon Stelly.
