Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Marie LeBlanc Boyd, 92, who passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Mrs. Boyd enjoyed cooking and sewing and most especially loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed going to the casinos. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Johnson of Breaux Bridge and Ida Mae (John Wilbert, Sr.) Noel of Houston, TX; 8 grandchildren, LaShonda, Lawrence, Jr., Peggy, Jill, John, Ricky, Lisa, and Elinus; 23 great grandchildren; and her sister, Ester Demouchet of Breaux Bridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Boyd; her parents,Corrine LeBlanc and Hector Sam; two brothers, Paul Sam, Sr. and Ernest LeBlanc; and three sisters, Anna Bell Washington, Irma Fuselier, and Cecilia L. Joe. Pallbearers will be Arthur Viltz, Lawrence Johnson, Jr., Kendrick Jeffery, Alfred Johnson, Harold Alexander, and Lawrence Johnson, Sr.Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
