Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 29, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Marie Leah Broussard, 90, who died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at St. Agnes Nursing Home and Rehab in Breaux Bridge.
Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 ~ Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Broussard was a member of the St. Bernard Church Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary in Breaux Bridge.
Survivors include her daughter, Constance Hiatt and her husband, Thomas of West Virginia; her step-daughter, Kathryn Poindexter and her husband, James of Franklin; her brother, Ray Latiolais and his wife, Elday of Lake Charles; her special friends, Rodney and Connie LeDoux of Breaux Bridge, and their children, Mark LeDoux, Ann Hebert and Lisa Bruce; eight grandchildren, Nancy Barrientes of Youngsville, Steve Gallassero of Oklahoma, Bruce Gallassero of New Orleans, Bill Gallessero of Lafayette, Mary Kaye Gudlin of Calif., Sheri Silva of Franklin, Mark Poindexter of Youngsville and Evie Markerson of West Palm Beach, FL; three step-grandchildren, Russell Hiatt and Kristin Hiatt, both of Boone, North Carolina and Ryan Hiatt of San Diego, CA; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, Carter Thomas Hiatt of Boone, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Broussard; her parents, Emar and Constance Martin Latiolais; her step daughter, Shirley Vorenkamp; her brother, Pierre Latiolais; and her sisters, Mae Andrus, Anne Begnaud, and Theresa Degeyter.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 12 Noon ~ 9:00 PM on Thursday and continue at 7 AM on Friday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Thursday.
