Marie Louise Calais

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Marie Louise "Malou" Calais , 82, who died Monday, July 11, 2005 at her residence in Cecilia. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Flo Calais will conduct the funeral mass. "Malou", as she was known to her family and friends, served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She had also worked for the St. Martin Parish Sheriff Department for a number of years. Survivors include her son, Ricky Calais, and her grandson, Richie Calais, both of Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Carrie Calais; her sister, Georgie Rutherford; and her brother, James Malcolm Calais. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4 PM ~ 10 PM on Tuesday; 7 AM ~ 10 PM on Wednesday and continue at 7 AM on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Lyn Angelle, Jay Angelle, Heath Angelle, Albert Prejean, Chester P. Begnaud, and Jimmy Roberts. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
