Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Marie Bonuz Johnson, 86, who passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Janie Bonuz. Gift Bearers will be Kasha, Christy, and Danielle Johnson. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she especially enjoyed taking care of them when they needed. She is survived by two sons, Johnny Johnson and Jordan (Christina) Johnson, all of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Charles Bonuz, Jessy (Mary) Bonuz, and Steve (Janie) Bonuz, all of Port Lavaca, TX; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Webster Johnson; her parents, Charles and Seligigas Gonzales Bonuz; and numerous brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Jerek Johnson, Tanner Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and Jude Bodin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
