VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, July 20, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marie "Toot" Idia LaCombe, 76, who passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Carencro. Rev. Louis Allen Breaux, will conduct the services. Ms. Lacombe enjoyed watching Bonanza and other old western movies. She also enjoyed sewing and knitting. Another favorite pastime was coloring in her color books. She loved being around her family and friends, who knew her as "Big Nannie" but especially the younger children. Survivors include her sister, Florence "Flo" Huval and her husband, Russell of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Wilbert LaCombe and his wife, Doris of Carencro and Robert LaCombe and his wife, Alice of Morgan City; her half-brother, Gilbert LaCombe, Jr. of Jennings; her godchildren, Monica Daigle of Breaux Bridge, Debbie Spanier of Conroe, TX, Dean Lacombe of Brooklyn, MI and Gilbert LaCombe of Morgan City; her nephews, John Adam LaCombe of Morgan City, Timothy LaCombe of Conroe, TX, Tony LaCombe of San Antonio, TX, Clarence LaCombe of Jeanerette, Joe LaCombe of Riverside, CA and Kevin Huval of Breaux Bridge; her nieces, Danielle Verret of Stephansville, Wendy Ledet of Carencro, Penny LaCombe of Carencro, and Barbara Delhomme of New Iberia; her great nephews, J.R. LaCombe of Morgan City, Darren and Aaron Verret of Stephansville, Steven and Joe Spanier of Conroe, TX, Joseph LaCombe of Brooklyn, MI and J.B. LaCombe of Riverside, CA, Johnathon and Brett LaCombe of Morgan City and Brian and Brett LaCombe of San Antonio, TX; her great nieces, Cassie and Hallie LaCombe of Morgan City, Aubrey and Bailey Ledet of Carencro, Courtney and Christy Delhomme of New Iberia, Jamie LaCombe of Riverside, CA, Ashley and Aimee Daigle of Breaux Bridge, Jeanea Huval of Breaux Bridge, Stephanie Kutter of Conroe, TX, and Jenna LaCombe of Riverside, CA, Kasey and Kayla LaCombe of San Antonio, TX; her great-great nephews, Tyler and Carson LaCombe and her great-great niece, Shalen LaCombe of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Ezola Doucet LaCombe, her brothers, J.B. and Henry LaCombe and her sister, Bee Johnson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2009 and continue at 8:00 a.m.until 10:00 a.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Kevin Huval, Clarence LaCombe, John LaCombe, Gilbert LaCombe, Marvin Spanier and Tony LaCombe. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby LaCombe, Joe LaCombe, Dean LaCombe, Adam Verret, Ean Castille and Derrick Brasseaux. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the entire staff of Hospice of Acadiana and the staff of Lafayette General Medical Center. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
