BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marie L. Landry, 87, who passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at her residence. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be Shirley Roberts and Danielle Landry. Gift bearers will be Dana Frederick, Gabrielle Latiolais, Katelynn LeBlanc, Kaydence LeBlanc, Cassie Landry, Makayla Landry, and Raven Landry. She was affectionately known as 'Mom' by her family and friends. Her greatest pleasures were cooking for her family and sewing, especially her hand made baptismal gowns that were worn by most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also sewed her daughter??s complete wedding attire. She looked forward to the morning coffee with all her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Wallace Landry; her sons, Gerald Landry, Sr. and his wife, Marsha and Michael Wayne Landry, Sr. and his wife, Joanne; her daughter Madeline LeBlanc and her husband, Edward, Sr.; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thimothy and Berthe Latiolais Landry; her sisters, Enola Thibodeaux and Inez Usie; her brothers, Cleus, Percy, Volma 'Bee-Bee', Paulin and John 'Shoon' Landry; and her grandson-in-law, Dana Latiolais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a .m. until 12:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening. Pallbearers will be Thimothy 'TJ' Landry, Gerald Landry, Jr., Edward LeBlanc III, Von Harper, Sr., Dane Hardy and Keith Gammill, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Latiolais, IV, Von Harper, Jr., Dimetre Harper, Edward LeBlanc IV, Steven Landry, Michael Landry and Justin Landry. The family would like to send a special thanks to Lafayette General 6th floor and ICU Ward; Amedisys Home Health; St. Martin Sniff Unit; St. Joseph Hospice and to all the special caregivers for their love and compassion during her short illness.
