Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marie Blanchard 'Te-Mom' LeBlanc, 99, who passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Scriptures will be read by Elizabeth Rae Jenkins, Marlene L. Dore, and Kelli Stanford. Gift Bearers will be Sarah Jenkins, Rebecca Jenkins, and Taylor and Darion Sonnier. 'Te-Mom' was a lifelong resident of Breaux Bridge and a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardending, and most especially, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved visiting and reminising with her brothers and sisters. Her love of music was very memorable because of her husband, Dukes accordian playing. Her love of babies was obvious by the number of dolls she collected. Survivors include her son, Eugene P. LeBlanc, Sr., of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Earline Sonnier and her husband, Jerry, Elaine Stewart and her husband, Ward, and Penny Yongue and her husband, Paul, all of Breaux Bridge; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Euronie G. and Joseph Blanchard, Sr.; her husband, Odilbert 'Duke' LeBlanc; a grandson, Marcus Dean LeBlanc; a daughter-in-law, DElla S. LeBlanc; 4 brothers and 6 sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue at 10 a .m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Mark LeBlanc, Gene LeBlanc, Chet Sonnier, Dirck Sonnier, Troy Sonnier, and Mike Sonnier. Honorary pallbearers will be Ji Sonnier, Logan Sonnier, Treg Dore, Kinzie LeBlanc, Kevin Hebert, Chris Hebert, and Cody LeBlanc. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Agnes Nursing Home, St. Martin Hospital , and especially to Dr. Warren Degatur, for their loving care and compassion. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
