Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Marie Allemond LeBlanc, 84, who died Monday, September 25, 2006 at St. Agnes Nursing Home in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. LeBlanc was the original owner of "Burger Best" in Lafayette. She was a seamstress and had the honor to make the Mardi Gras gowns for the Kings and Queens in both Lafayette and New Iberia. She was a member of The Greenhouse in Lafayette and she loved gardening, crocheting and paintings of statues.
Survivors include her daughter, Edith L. LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Curtis J. LeBlanc and his wife, Joyce of Breaux Bridge and Elton P. LeBlanc of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis LeBlanc; her parents, Bernard and Odile Blanchard Allemond, Sr.; seven brothers; and one sister.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Pete, Paul, Ames, and Lennis Allemond, Marty LeBlanc, and Todd Melancon.
Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Foreman
