Marie Louise Courville Gary

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Marie Louise Courville Gary, 77, who passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 in New Iberia.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until; 11:00 am.

A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Gary was born on April 24, 1945 to the late Angelas and Mae Louviere Courville. She enjoyed sewing, and built her life around her family, who she dearly loved taking care of.

Survivors include her son, Max Auffinger, of New Iberia; daughters, Shannon Vasquez (Vee), of Ledyard, CT, and Tiffany Hernandez (Raul), of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Kaylin Cano (Donovan), Brianan Robinson, Nicholas Moreno and Sofia Robinson; great grandchildren, Jaylin Anderson, Jordan Anderson, and Eren Cano; son-in-law, Juan Moreno; godchild, Tamara Laviolette; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cyrus Gary; sisters, Lauraine Courville and LulaBelle Laviolette; brother, Leroy Romero.

Pallbearers will be Max Auffinger, Nerry Gary, Sam Gary, Vee Vasquez, Terry Courville and Eric Laviolette.

Honorary pallbearer will be Derek Trosclair.
