Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Marie Webre Patin, 81, who passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Emeritus Assisted Living in Lafayette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 12:45 pm on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Todd McFarland and Joel McFarland. Gift Bearers will be Katie, Erin, Madeline, and Megan McFarland.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Marie was retired from First National Bank of Lafayette where she served as a Vice President for many years. After her retirement from the banking industry, she became actively involved with Volunteers for Family and Community, serving as the treasurer, as well as holding other officer positions.
A devout Catholic, Marie was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of the St. Bernard Altar Society and the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Webre, Jr. of Lafayette; her sister, Marguerite McFarland and her husband, B.J., of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albin Patin; her parents, Charles Webre, Sr. and Clementine Cormier Webre; three sisters, Irene W. Broussard, Juanita W. Bonin, and Joyce W. Gunckel; and two brothers, Orrie Mark Webre and Harold T. Webre.
Pallbearers will be Tim McFarland, Terry McFarland, Todd McFarland, Joel McFarland, Tyler McFarland, and Barrett McFarland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Webre and Toby Webre.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Emeritus Assisted Living, Amedisys Hospice Care, and a very special thank you to her niece, Patsy Broussard, for the devoted and constant care and attention given to her during her time of need.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
