Marie "Blonde" Melancon Patin

Henderson - Marie "Blonde" Melancon Patin, 100, affectionately known as "Blonde" entered eternal rest on Monday March 10, 2025.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with Father Michael Richard as the celebrant. Scripture readings will be shared by Heather Dupuis. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.

Visitation will be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm on Thursday.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Thursday in the funeral home.

Born April 25, 1924, Marie was a beloved native and lifelong resident of Henderson, Louisiana. She lived a life rich in love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends for a remarkable 100 years.

As a proud homemaker, Marie created a warm and nurturing environment that resonated with joy and comfort. Her passion for baking was legendary, as she lovingly crafted delicious treats that brought smiles to the faces of those who were fortunate enough to enjoy!

In remembering her, we celebrate a remarkable century filled with cherished memories, infectious laughter, and an indomitable spirit that will live on in all of us.

She is survived by her sister, Rhena Mae Guidry (Melvin); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jean Leroy Patin; parents, Ignace Melancon, Jr. and Louise M. Melancon; and siblings, Cecilia LeBlanc, Rita Blanchard, Bertrand "BeBe" Melancon, Dewey Melancon, and Clarence "Bloc" Melancon.

Pallbearers will be David Dupuis Sr., David Dupuis Jr., Aubrey Guidry, Don Louviere, Donnie Louviere and Jude Peltier.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home of Arnaudville and its staff for the care and compassion shown during Marie "Blonde" Patin's time with them.
