Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, for Marie Stelly Richard, 96, who passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until 10:15 am. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Virginia Hebert and Marylin Dupuis. Gift Bearers will be Garrett Richard and Gabrielle Hebert. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mrs. Richard was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time visiting with her family and friends while enjoying a cup of coffee, and she most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, ;great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren ;- who were her pride and joy. She is survived by five sons, John L. (Yvonne) Richard of Cecilia, Paul S. (Jeannette) Richard of Arnaudville, Charles Wilson (Marguerite) Richard of Arnaudville, Jeffery (Yvonne Rose) Richard of Krotz Springs, and Steven L. (Sara Broussard) Richard of Coteau Holmes; three daughters, Mary Jane Allemand of Prairie Ronde, Vivian Bergeron of Pierre Part, and Connie (Harris) Bergeron of Arnaudville; one sister, Gwen Arnaud of Lafayette; 48 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, ;and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ulysess and Lydia Guidroz Stelly; her husband, Sidney J. Richard; two sons, Joseph James "Eugene" Richard and Melvin J. "Moose" Richard; six brothers, Clopha Stelly, Collin Stelly, Sr., Alton Stelly, Gilbert Stelly, Hebert Stelly, and Percy Stelly; and one sister, Evangeline LeFleur. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
