Marilyn Musson Hipp

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Marilyn Musson Hipp, 82, who passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. Pamela Roy will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hipp was born on June 13, 1936 to the late Ruben and Sybil Flynn Musson. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Iberia, and was very active with the Orphan Voyage Organization, which supported others in finding their birthparents. Mrs. Hipp enjoyed cooking, grocery shopping, sewing, crafting, fishing, going to their lake house at Toledo Bend, playing cards, especially “Skip-Bo” with her daughters, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, James Hipp of New Iberia ; son, Bryant Hipp and fiance' Christine Dupuy of Lafayette; daughters, Jamie Cimo and husband Henry of Broussard, LeeAnn Bonin and husband Greg of Lafayette, Jo-Ellen Hipp-Hatch and husband Brad of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Doris Shultz of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren, Brandon Hipp and wife Melissa, Britni Gaspard and husband Jordan, Jason Cimo and wife Christine, Ross Brasseaux, William Hatch, Goldie Hatch; step grandchildren, Ben Bonin, Sam Bonin and wife Shaina; great grandchildren, Glendon Hipp, Emily Hipp, Avery Hipp, Owen Gaspard, and Ethan Gaspard; step great grandchild Madii Bonin. In addition to her parents, a she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Musson. Pallbearers will be Bryant Hipp, Jason Cimo, Brandon Hipp, Henry Cimo, Greg Bonin, Brad Hatch, Ross Brasseaux, and William Hatch.
