Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 07, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marjorie Broussard Joseph, 82, who passed away on Sunday, June 01, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Rev. James Fallon, SJ, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will conduct the services. Marjorie liked to cook, play bingo, cards and go to the casino. There was nothing greater to her than to prepare a meal for a large family gathering. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Left to cherish her loving memory are her six (6) children; Savannah J. Lawrence (Maxie); Mary J. Anglin (William) of Breaux Bridge; Laura Bell LeBlanc (Claston) of Lafayette, Sonnyboy Joseph (Judy), Kenneth Joseph (Yvette), and Archie P. Joseph, Esq. (Loretta) of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Agnes Broussard Amest (Joseph) of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Alton Broussard (Hilda) of Arnaudville; two brothers-in-law, Edwin Joseph (Josephine) of Lafayette, and Antoine Joseph of Houston, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Ezola Joseph of Houston, Texas, and Beulah Joseph of Arnaudville; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Paul Joseph; two sons, Donald Joseph and Larry Joseph; parents Edgar and Eunice Calais Broussard; one sister, Ceola B. Potier; a grandson, Katrel J. LeBlanc; a daughter-in-law, Judy Batiste; a son-in-law, Claston J. LeBlanc; ten sisters-in-law, Louisiana Jean-Batiste, Daisy Charles, Lena Charles, Rose Joseph, Amy Champagne, Rose Charles, Elsie Joseph, Sister M. Bartholomew Joseph, Theresa Joseph, Felicia Joseph; and eight brothers-in-law, Clarence Potier, Joseph Caffery Amest, Lester Joseph, Paul Joseph, Freddie Joseph, Albert Joseph, Wilbert Joseph, and Caffery Joseph. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pall bearers will be Howard Amest, Tyrone Anglin, Clarence Broussard, Carl E. Lawrence, Gerard J. Lawrence, and Crandal LeBlanc. Honorary pall bearers will be Maxie Lawrence, Alton Broussard, Russell Joseph, Harrison Turner, Sr., Jermaine J. Lawrence, Kendall W. LeBlanc, Carris C. LeBlanc, and Jerome Batiste. The family and children of Marjorie B. Joseph wishes to acknowledge all acts of kindness and prayers that were offered to console the family. Friends are blessings from God and each of you have played an important part in providing us with the strength during our mother's illness and during our time of bereavement. We extend a special and heartfelt thanks to each of you. God bless all of you. The family would like to also thank Dr. Johnny Stephens, Dr. James Mwatibo, Dr. Earl Washington, Dr. Richard Fei, the ICU/4-East Staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Ms. Barbara Darby (Health Care Option) and Ms. Mary Lewis (Synergy).
