Mark McMichael

Breaux Bridge - Mark Anthony McMichael, 55, passed away from this earth on Friday, October 14, 2011. Known as a kind and gentle soul, and was known to many as a man who would give you the shirt off his back. Mark was employed by Hot Tap Tools of Broussard. He loved living in the Butte La Rose area, where he spent most of his free time hunting and driving his speed boat. He is survived and left to treasure his memory, his wife , Kathleen B. McMichael of Butte La Rose; his mother, Dorothy P. McMichael of Butte La Rose; three brothers, Luke McMichael and his wife, Tyla, and their two daughters, Brittany and Brooke, of Lafayette, Sonny McMichael of Lafayette, and Robert McMichael of Butte La Rose; and his sister, Deborah Keel and her husband, Henry, and their son, Jared and his girlfriend, Kathy (K-2) Verrett, of Butte La Rose. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Nathaniel McMichael, Sr.; and his niece, Sommer Keel. ;A gathering of family and friends will be observed at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011, and continue until time of service at 1:30 p.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge. Chaplain Anita Moak will officiate at the memorial service. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude and thanks to Hot Tap Tools, for their compassion and support they provided to Mark during his employment. An additional special thanks to his lifelong friends, Donny and Donna Caffery, along with Dwayne St. Martin, for their love, support, and kindness in building a friendship that would last a lifetime.
